Responsibilities
Provides service support to the customer base within the Medical center regarding refrigeration maintenance. Maintains the proper environment to ensure the medical center can perform its service to the community and support the function of building systems. Maintains uninterrupted services primary working on refrigeration equipment used by a very diverse customer base including a trauma medical center, research and teaching facilities. Complies with the safety regulations and policies of the University of Rochester, MCFO and all local state and Federal agencies having jurisdiction.
Schedule MON-FRI 8 AM-4:30 PM; RARE WKNDS Responsibilities Responsibilities and Job Requirements: With minimal direction and latitude for independent judgment, provides support to the Air Conditioning/Refrigeration shop within the Medical Center Facilities. Performs service calls, work orders, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and reconditioning work. Disassembles, inspects/examine system components such as receiver controls, electronic, pneumatic controls, dampers, and valves to detect mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic malfunctions making recommendations, necessary repairs or replacement. Must work with refrigerants and refrigeration equipment documenting results in the University CFC log, meeting EPA, local and State laws. CFC Universal Certification Required This position is necessary in order to maintain uninterrupted services to a very diverse customer base including a trauma medical center, research and teaching facilities. The employee must comply with the safety regulations and policies of the University of Rochester, MCFO and all local state and Federal agencies having jurisdiction. Will be required to drive UR Vehicle, clean driver's license required and adherence to UR Safer Driver Program.
